San Diego Chef's Table Recipe Book Preview

Here's a sneak preview of  the recipe book I just shot all the photos for.  It's by well know food blogger, Maria Montana and I think it the layouts look great.  Thanks to everyone for making this happen. 

Bon Appetite Magazine Shoot

On Friday, I had the pleasure of shooting for Bon Appetite Magazine.  The subject was a new food truck called, "Mastiff Sausage Co."  The guys from the truck were awesome and I got to sample the goods which was incredible.  I highly recommend the food and would encourage everyone to check them out soon.

New Recipe Book

Over the holidays I had the opportunity tho shoot photos for a new recipe book that shares the recipes of San Diego's most well know chefs and restaurants. Lafayette Hotel Wedding Shoot

Last week I had the chance to photograph a sort of wedding fashion shoot.  This is where a few different wedding vendors such as flowers, video, wedding dress makers, and planners come together and set up a kind of pretend wedding with models acting as bride and groom.  I had a great time shooting at this venue and got some really nice shots.  There was definitely no lack of cool, vintage backgrounds for portraits, etc.  Thank you Kadesha of Charisma Events.

Derek Dunfee and Taylor Knox

In continuing my assignment on local pro surfers I got the chance to photograph two really cool guys and great surfers, Derek Dunfee and Taylor Knox.  Derek is from La Jolla and makes his living as a big wave surfer which means whenever there is a big swell he has to get to where it is in a hurry with a videographer and photographer.  Taylor is from Carlsbad and is a surfing icon.  I personally love his surfing style and grew up watching surf videos of him and trying to emulate his surfing.  I had a great time on this project!  Thanks to all.

Carpenteria Camping

Last weekend the family and I packed up and drove up to Carpenteria located in Santa Barbara County.  We may have been overshooting a bit having a 1 1/2 year old and a 3 year old with only a tent for shelter:)  Needless to say none of us slept to well and the wind was a tad strong (50 mph) but it was great fun being on the beach, exploring the town, and making s'mores at night.  Got some nice shots of the landscape as well.
