So, since I've started this blog I've pretty much only put up photos that I've shot on the job.  So i decided to change it up a bit a post some photos that may or may not turn into a personal project.  I've always been a big fan on graphics and signage and whenever I'm driving around I notice business signs that stand out for their creativity or their style, so why not photograph them.

Lifestyle Shoot in Santa Ana

Last week I was able to shoot in a great location, Old Town, Santa Ana in Orange County.  It's really a great spot for photography. The Buildings are of the Art Decco and 50's era so lots of great areas for shooting.  Caroline, who was modeling that day, did an incredible job despite the 100 degree heat.  Thanks Caroline for being a trooper:)!

Last week I had the privilege of photographing some select cuisine at The Med which is the main restaurant at the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, CA.  It was a bit of a nostalgic experience for me having grown up in La Jolla and frequenting the hotel with my family and friends.  Since then there has been a change in ownership and some remodeling.  The shoot was for Riviera Magazine, San Diego and I got to shoot  a good amount of dishes and was lucky enough to try a few.  Needless to say I highly recommend the food at The Med, it's quite a treat!!

This past week I've had the pleasure of shooting the cover art for both Riviera San Diego and Orange County magazines.  Luckily I got to taste some of the product and it was delicious.  I'd like to thank Juniper and Ivy and Sirena Restaurants in San Diego's Little Italy and Twenty-Eight restaurant in Irvine for all their assistance and beautiful dishes.

Pirozzi Restaurant

Last week I had the chance to photograph the food and atmosphere at Pirozzi italian restaurant located right on the PCH in Corona Del Mar near Newport Beach.  It's a cozy little spot and the food is incredible.  Make sure if you're in the area to stop in and try the calamari salad, it's rediculously good!!!!  Thank you for checking the photos out.
